Bringing Ehime’s Lovingly Raised “Aiiku-fish” to the World

Ehime Prefecture is the number one producer of cultivated fish in all of Japan. Promotional activities aimed at further developing and stimulating Japan’s top-ranking fish aquaculture industry are underway, taking the name “Aiiku-fish” to refer to fish specially raised in Ehime Prefecture. Involved parties from throughout the process, from production to distribution and sales, are working together to positively promote the industry.
The “Aiiku-fish” name encompasses meanings of “fish raised in Ehime” and “fish raised with love”, as the first character Ai appears in the words for both “Ehime” and “love”, while iku corresponds to “raising”.
We aim to make safe, secure, high-quality “Aiiku-fish” available in restaurants and on dining tables throughout Japan and around the world and to make the special, appealing qualities of this fish known far and wide.
